THE GAME
No. 10 Tarleton travels to West Texas A&M on Saturday, Jan. 23 for a game at the First United Bank Center at 4 p.m.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Casey Hogan, will be back calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated Eastern New Mexico 89-71 behind five Texans scoring in double figures. Charles Hill led the way with 22 points.
 
THE OPPONENT: WEST TEXAS A&M
West Texas A&M is 14-7 overall and 3-3 in the Lone Star Conference. The Buffs have won two straight games and are 8-3 at home this season. WT is coming off a road win, 85-81, against A&M-Commerce. WT is led by sophomore David Chavlovich's LSC-leading 20 points per game.
 
THE SERIES: WEST TEXAS A&M
West Texas A&M leads the all time series against Tarleton 23-22 dating back to 1994. Tarleton has won the last six match-ups and eight of the last nine games. Tarleton is 5-14 when playing at WT but has won the last two games in Canyon.

Tarleton continued the streak without two straight losses since the Texans had a four-game losing streak in 2013. Tarleton has gone 99 straight games without back-to-back losses.

Michael Hardge leads the Lone Star Conference in assists (5.1) and steals (1.9). As a team, the Texans lead the LSC in scoring defense (63.8 points allowed), defensive rebounds per game (31.4) and turnover margin (2.71).

Since his debut season as the head coach of Tarleton in 1988, Lonn Reisman and the Texans have played 244 January games and amassed a record of 176-69 for a January winning percentage of .718. Tarleton has won eight straight games in January.

In Coach Reisman's 28 seasons at Tarleton State, the Texans have amassed a total record of 387-63 including a record of 168-15 (.918) with two undefeated home seasons since 2005. The Texans went 20-1 at Wisdom Gym last season.

4-year Texan Michael Hardge, who has 282 career assists, passed Tarleton associate head coach Chris Reisman for 8th all time. Hardge needs 10 assists to pass Marcus Jacobs for 7th place.
