ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton has won its last two games in Lone Star Conference play to move into a tie for third in the conference standings at 3-1. During the two-game winning streak, Tarleton is averaging 46 points per game while holding opponents to 30.5 points. The Texans are looking for their first road win of the season. Tarleton's offense is averaging 360 yards per game (250 pass, 110 rush). Leading the Tarleton offense is quarterback
Zed Woerner, who has thrown for 1,362 yards and 16 touchdowns with only three interceptions. Woerner has back-to-back games of 280 yards passing and four touchdowns. Woerner's top target is
Bubba Tandy with 29 receptions, 451 yards and five touchdowns. Also hauling in passes is
Del'Michael High, who has 425 yards on 28 catches and six touchdowns.
Jeff Thomas has 24 catches for 361 yards and a pair of scores. Tarleton's leading rusher is
Joseph Sadler with 480 yards on 5.1 yards per carry and three touchdowns. Defensively,
Cody Burtscher leads the LSC in tackles with 68 and interceptions with three. Burtscher also has 4.5 sacks.
Chase Varnado is second in the LSC in sacks with five. As a team, Tarleton has 24 sacks and eight interceptions on the year, already surpassing last year's total of 18 sacks and four picks.

ABOUT THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico is riding a 3-game winning streak after starting the season 1-2. The Greyhounds are second in the LSC with a 4-1 conference record. ENMU is 2-1 at home this season with wins over Western New Mexico and West Texas A&M. ENMU is averaging 30 points per game and holding opponents to 26.8 points per contest. The Greyhounds average 455.5 yards per game and limit opponents to 379 yards. Of the 455 yards, 347 come on the ground for Eastern with 108 coming through the air. The Greyhounds give up 379 yards per game to opponent offenses. Kamal Cass (660 yards, 7 TD) and Wyatt Strand (377 yards, 6 TD) have combined for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground for the Greyhounds. Strand, the Greyhounds quarterback, has throw for 440 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions. Both touchdown passes have gone to Aaron Johnson, who has 458 yards receiving. Defensively, the Greyhounds have 14.5 sacks and six interceptions.

This is the 25
th career meeting between the two schools with ENMU holding the series lead at 14-10. Tarleton, however, has won 10 of the last 12 matchups and six straight when playing in New Mexico.
