ABOUT THE TEXANNS
Tarleton is looking to turn things around from its first 0-2 start to the season since 2011. The TexAnns dropped both games of the Whataburger Tip-Off Classic last weekend, including a 68-66 nailbiter to Missouri S&T in the season opener.
Mackenzie Hailey scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Friday's season opener, making her the first TexAnn in Tarleton's NCAA era to record a double-double in her first career game. She also joined
Ikpeaku Iwobi and Kiara Wright as the only TexAnns with a double-double in a season opener since Tarleton joined the NCAA in 1994.

INSIDE THE SERIES VS. WESTERN STATE
This is the second meeting between the TexAnns and Mountaineers. Tarleton made the trip to Colorado to square off with Western State in February 1993. The Tarleton squad, coached by Jan Lowery, came away with a 74-57 win for a 1-0 lead in the series.
Â
INSIDE THE SERIES VS. CSU-PUEBLO
Saturday is the second meeting between Tarleton and CSU-Pueblo, dating back to the first meeting since November 2005 under then-head coach Ronnie Hearne. Tarleton went to Pueblo and came away with a 76-72 win in the third game of Hearne's third season as head coach.
