No. 10 Tarleton looks to remain perfect on the season as Concordia-Irvine (CA) comes to town for a nonconference matchup in Wisdom Gym on Saturday at 4 p.m.

ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton (2-0) opened the season with a pair of wins in the Whataburger Tip-Off Classic against Adams State and Colorado-Colorado Springs. The Texans, ranked No. 10 in the NABC poll, are averaging 81 points per game while holding opponents to 61.5 points. Tarleton's 19.5 scoring margin ranks second in the Lone Star Conference. Tarleton has three players averaging double figures in scoring through two games, led by
Ridell Camidge's 16.5 points.
Chantz Chambers is scoring 14 points per game and
Anthony Davis is averaging 11.
Romond Jenkins leads the team in rebounding at 12 boards per game while scoring nine points.
Deshawn Riddick is also averaging nine points per contest.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
Concordia-Irvine is 1-2 on the season and picked up its first win against California-Los Angeles, 75-67 on Tuesday. The Eagles are averaging 67 points per game but lead the Pac West Conference in scoring defense with 70 points. Justin Davis (10.3 points), Brain Chambers (9.7 points) and Tad Dufelmeier (9 points) lead the Eagles in scoring. CUI is only in its second season in NCAA Division II after being an NAIA basketball power for years under head coach Ken Ammann. The Eagles are 406-114 in 15 seasons under Ammann and won the NAIA National Championship in 2003 and 2012.
