The TexAnns won the first 12 games of the series from 1980 to 1989 before the Lady Chaps won their first game in the series. Tarleton answered that 1989 loss with six straight wins and eight wins over the next nine meetings. The teams last met on Nov. 28, 2014 in which Misty Wilson earned her third career win as the head coach when Tarleton upset the Lady Chaps on their home court 73-71 in overtime behind 25 points from Kathy Thomas.
