THE GAME
No. 15 Tarleton travels to Las Vegas for a pair of games against Simon Fraser (Canada) and No. 12 Western Washington on Dec. 18-19.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. HISTORY IN LAS VEGAS
Tarleton is making its fourth trip to Las Vegas for the Holiday Hoops Classic. The Texans are 5-1 all time in the Holiday Hoops Classic.
 
THE OPPONENT: SIMON FRASER
Simon Fraser comes in with a 2-6 record overall and 0-2 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Clan have lost four straight heading into Sunday's game. SFU is averaging 69 points per game and giving up 83 points to opponents. The Clan has three players averaging double figures in points with JJ Pankratz leading the offense with 15.5 ppg, followed by Michael Provenzano (11.9) and Kedar Wright (11.0). Pankratz is the leading rebounder at 5.9 boards per game, with Provenzano leading the team in assists with 3.5 apg.
 
THE SERIES: SFU
This is the first meeting between the two teams.
 
THE OPPONENT: WESTERN WASHINGTON
Western Washington is ranked No. 12 in the nation after starting the season 8-0 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC. The Vikings are averaging 92.6 points per game and giving up 73.8 points. The Vikings are led by Taylor Stafford's 21.8 points per game while Jeffrey Parker (18.9), Daulton Hommes (15.9) and Trey Drech­sel (11.9) also average double figures. Stafford is the team-leader in rebounds (6.8 per game), assists (5.9) and steals (17).
 
THE SERIES: WWU
Tarleton is 4-1 all-time against Western Washington, with the last three games being played in Las Vegas. Tarleton has won three straight against WWU. This will be the second time the two teams have been ranked when the square off, with Tarleton, ranked No. 11 at the time, defeating then-No. 5 WWU, 86-69, in 2013.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated Southwestern Adventist 105-64 with Romond Jenkins leading the way with 24 points and 17 rebounds.

Tarleton will host Ouachita Baptist on Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
