STEPHENVILLE – Tiara Tatum and Bailey Wipff combine for 27 points in a 71-41 rout of Northern New Mexico in an exhibition in Wisdom Gym Monday night.

The TexAnns came out on fire scoring 48 points in the first half on 50% shooting. Tatum led the way with 12 points in the first half, while Wipff poured in 9 points. Mackenzie Hailey added 7 points and 5 rebounds in 15 minutes of action in the first 2 quarters.

Every TexAnn saw action tonight as they outscored the Lady Eagles of Northern New Mexico 23 – 19 in the second half en route to the 30-point victory.

"It was a good game for us right before the break," said head coach Misty Wilson. "It's always a good night when everyone gets to play. I saw a lot that we're going to continue to work on, we're going to continue to try to get better in our zone, but for now we're going to enjoy a few days off and then com e back ready to work."

Tatum led the way with 14 points, Wipff cracked double figures as well with 13 points. Hailey scored 9 points, and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes for the TexAnns. Travanti Downes (6), Baylee Peck (5), Ikpeaku Iwobi (5), Kylie Collins (5), Shelby Mankins (5), Ke'Aunna Johnson (4), Amber Lane (3), and Hannah Allen (2) rounded the scoring for Tarleton.

Tarleton will return to Lone Star Conference play Thursday, January 5 at the Junell Center against Angelo State. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
