THE GAME
No. 11 Tarleton takes on Ouachita Baptist for the last game of 2016 on New Years Eve at 4 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. THE OPPONENT: OUACHITA BAPTIST
Ouchita Bapist comes in with a 4-3 record overall and 2-2 in the Great American Conference. The Tigers lost their last game to East Central, 85-70. OBU is 1-1 against LSC teams this season, with a win over A&M-Kingsville and fell to UTPB. The Tigers average 74.6 points per game and give up 73 points to opponents. OBU is led in scoring by Lakee Westbrook with 17.6 points per game. Justin McCleary (14.0) and Carven Holcolmbe (10.7) also average double figures. Holcolmbe is the team leader in rebounds with 5.9 and Westbrook is the leader in assists with 3.0 per game.
 
THE SERIES: OBU
Tarleton is 3-0 all time against Ouachita Baptist since the series began in 1998. Tarleton defeated OBU 88-71 last season in Wisdom Gym. The Texans are 2-0 at home against OBU.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated No. 12 Western Washington 84-83 on Ridell Camidge's game-winning 3-point play with four seconds remaining. Camidge scored a career-high 27 points in the win.
 
TARLETON IN THE NABC RANKINGS
Tarleton is ranked No. 11 in the nation with an 11-1 record. This marks the 119th week the Texans have been ranked by the NABC in program history.
