THE GAME
Tarleton hosts West Texas A&M for senior night on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Casey Hogan, will be back calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated Eastern New Mexico 83-53 to improve to 18-7 overall and 7-5 in the Lone Star Conference.
 
THE OPPONENT: WEST TEXAS A&M
West Texas A&M comes in with a 20-8 record overall and in a 4-way tie for first in the Lone Star Conference with an 8-4 mark. It's WT's first 20-win season since 2010-11 when they won 23 games. WT 5-4 on the road this season. The Buffs are top 10 in the nation in several categories: 5th in 3-point attempts (783); 5th free throw attempts (742); 5th in free throws made (514); 7th in 3-pointers made (285). David Chavlovich (20.5 points per game) leads the nation in 3-pointers attempted (270) and made (104).
 
THE SERIES: WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton is 22-24 against WT since the series began in 1994. Tarleton lost the last meeting 78-61 in Canyon. Tarleton has won 6 of the last 7 against WT and six straight at home. Tarleton hasn't lost to WT at home since 2009 and is 13-7 all time vs the Buffs in Wisdom Gym.

Tarleton will honor five seniors before tonight's game: Charles Hill, Malcolm Hamilton, EJ Reed, Jakob Damstra, and Michael Hardge.

Xavier Smith has 57 blocks in his first season with Tarleton. The junior forward ranks 10th on the single-season blocks list and needs 2 blocks to pass Roderick Brown for 9th. Smith's 57 blocks also rank 15th all time in a career. Vincent Bridgewater holds the record with 81 in a season.

Michael Hardge leads the LSC in assists at 4.9 per game. Hardge would join Chuck Guy (6.1 in 13-14) and Chris Reisman (6.08 in 00-01) as the only Texans to do so since 2000.
