LONE STAR CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
Tarleton comes into the Lone Star Conference as the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 6 seed Texas A&M-Commerce on Thursday, March 3 at 6 p.m. at the Allen Event Center.
 
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Tarleton is 27-14 all time in the Lone Star Conference Tournament and 9-2 at the Allen Event Center. The Texans have won three LSC Tournament championships in 2004, 2013, and 2014. Tarleton is 4-2 all-time against its first round opponent, Texas A&M-Commerce, in the LSC Tournament. The Texans are 14-3 all time in the first round of the LSC Tournament and have won the opening game in six straight seasons.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Casey Hogan, will be back calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. SENIOR SUCCESS
Michael Hardge and Jakob Damstra are Tarleton's only 4-year seniors on the roster and they are one win away from their 100th career win as a Texan. The duo has a 99-24 career record with Tarleton.
 
SINGLE SEASON SWATS
Xavier Smith has 59 blocks in his first season with Tarleton. The junior forward passed Roderick Brown for 9th all time. Smith's 59 blocks also rank 15th all time in a career. Vincent Bridgewater holds the record with 81 in a season.
 
RO'S ON A ROLE
During Tarleton's 4-game win streak, Romond Jenkins has been the low-post presence the Texans needed. Jenkins is averaging 10.3 points, a team-high 9.5, 70.8 percent from the floor and only three turnovers.

REACHING 20 WINS
At 20-7 on the season, Tarleton now has seven straight 20-win season. It is the 13th time in the NCAA era that Tarleton has won 20 games in a season.
 
RUNS IN THE FAMILY
Xavier Smith is third in the Lone Star Conference in blocks this season with 59 total blocks and 2.2 per game. His brother, Zach Smith, is a sophomore forward for Texas Tech University and is fourth in the Big 12 with 43 blocks and 1.59 per game.
