THE SERIES
Tarleton returns home to take on Angelo State for a four-game series starting Friday, April 1. Tarleton will play a 1-2-1 series format with Friday's opener starting at 3 p.m., Saturday's doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. and the final game on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.

THE TEXANS
Tarleton is 12-16 on the year and 6-10 in the Lone Star Conference. Tarleton is 4-3 at home this season. Alec Humphreys leads the Texans' offense with a .343 batting average and a team-high 21 RBI. Trevor Renfro fronts Tarleton's rotation with a 3.26 ERA and a team-leading 54 strikeouts and a 4-2 record.
 
THE OPPONENT
Angelo State comes in with an 18-12 record on the season and 11-5 in the Lone Star Conference. The Rams are tied for second in the LSC with Texas A&M-Kingsville. Angelo State is 13-9 on the road this season. ASU is led by Paxton De La Garza's .352 batting average along with a team-leading five home runs and 24 RBI. Bryce Zak leads the pitching staff with a 2.94 ERA and 74 strikeouts for a 5-1 record.
 
THE SERIES
Tarleton is 20-38 all-time against Angelo State and 9-13 at home. The Rams have won the last three games against the Texans. However, Tarleton is 4-2 against Angelo State at home in the last six games.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton fell in the 4-game series at Texas A&M-Kingsville, 3-1. Tarleton took the finale, however, with a 3-0 shutout over the Javelinas. Blain Bagley picked up his first win of the season by tossing 7.2 scoreless innings and striking out seven.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The Texans take a break from LSC action to host St. Mary's for one game against the Rattlers on Wednesday, April 6 at 3 p.m. Tarleton will take on West Texas A&M for a 3-game series starting Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m.
