THE SERIES
Tarleton hosts West Texas A&M for a three-game series at Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex with the opener on Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m. followed by a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
 
THE TEXANS
Tarleton is 14-19 on the season and 8-12 in the Lone Star Conference. The Texans trail Cameron by one game for the final playoff spot in the LSC Tournament. The Texans are 6-6 at home this season. Alec Humphreys leads the Tarleton offense with a .336 batting average while starting all 33 games. Jake Hasbrouck has a team-high six home runs and 23 RBI. Trevor Renfro is the ace of the pitching staff with a 2.89 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 56 innings while holding opponents to a .231 average.
 
THE OPPONENT
West Texas A&M is 24-10 on the year and tied for second in the LSC with a 13-7 record. The Buffs are 10-5 on the road and in the midst of an 11-game road trip. Trace Hansen leads' the Buffs' offense with a .380 average and team-highs in hits (46) and RBI (23). Austin Moore fronts the Buffs' rotation with a 7-1 record in nine starts and carries a 1.23 ERA with 76 strikeouts.

Tarleton leads the all-time series with West Texas A&M 59-49-1 since the two teams first met in 1994. The Texans are 33-19 at home against WT.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton fell in a one-game non-conference match-up to St. Mary's on Wednesday, 6-3. Jake Hasbrouck, the reigning LSC Hitter of the Week, went 2-for-4 with his LSC-leading sixth home run.
