INSIDE THE SERIES: CAMERON
The 30th chapter of the Tarleton-Cameron rivalry proved to be one of the greatest in the history of the series – from the TexAnns' perspective – as Tarleton overcame a 17-point, fourth-quarter deficit in Wisdom Gym earlier this year to even the all-time series at 15-15. Since 2006, the series has been dominated by lengthy runs. Tarleton won seven straight games from 2006 to 2013 before the Aggies took the next six. Tarleton rebounded to win each of the last two games, including the overtime win in Wisdom this season.
INSIDE THE SERIES: MIDWESTERN STATE
Tarleton got off on the right foot in Lone Star Conference play when they hosted Midwestern State in December and handled the Mustangs 72-58 to open league action with a win. Overall, Tarleton and Midwestern State will renew its rivalry that dates back nearly four decades. The TexAnns have won 31 of 65 all-time meetings since the series started in 1978.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will return home to welcome the New Mexico side of the Lone Star Conference as the TexAnns will play host to the LSC-leading Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Western New Mexico Saturday at 2 p.m.
