THE GAME
Tarleton will return from the Christmas break to begin the 2017 calendar year with a Lone Star Conference road trip to San Angelo and Kingsville for a pair of tough league matchups. The Rambelles enter the game ranked No. 5 in the NCAA rankings with a 10-0 record while Kingsville has already surpassed its win total from the last two years combined with a 7-3 start to the season. Tarleton will tip-off against Angelo State at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. against Kingsville Saturday.

INSIDE THE SERIES: ANGELO STATE
Tarleton and Angelo State will renew a 41-year rivalry when the TexAnns and Rambelles take the court on January 5. The TexAnns own a 29-21 lead in the all-time series, including four straight wins under head coach
Misty Wilson. Tarleton has won 13 of the last 16 meetings over Angelo State since 2009, including a 4-3 mark over that span in San Angelo.
INSIDE THE SERIES: TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
Tarleton and Texas A&M-Kingsville will write the 44th chapter of its storied history Saturday afternoon when the TexAnns and Javelinas take the court Saturday. Tarleton owns a 25-18 lead in the all-time series, dating back to 1986, which includes wins in each of the last 13 meetings dating back to 2010. The TexAnns have also won 22 of the last 24 against the Javelinas since 2004.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL POLLS
Angelo State is ranked No. 5 in the nation in the official WBCA National Top-25 list as well as No. 2 in the D2SIDA poll. The WBCA poll is the official NCAA ranking while the D2SIDA poll is an unofficial ranking voted on by sports information directors from select universities. For the first time this season, Tarleton will take the court against a ranked opponent when they face off against No. 5 Angelo State. Tarleton played Colorado State-Pueblo, who is ranked currently but was only receiving votes when the two teams met in November, as well as St. Mary's, who has been receiving votes most of the season.

Tarleton will return home for the first of four straight LSC games on Jan. 10 to host Texas A&M-Commerce and Jan. 12 against Texas Woman's. Both games will tip-off at 5:30 p.m.
