STEPHENVILLE—Tarleton Track and Field has announced a change to its schedule and will now head to Abilene this weekend to compete in the Wes Kittley Invitational at Abilene Christian University.
 
Tarleton was originally scheduled to compete at the UT-Arlington meet, but will now head west to Abilene.
 
"Going to Abilene gives us a great opportunity to honor a legendary Division II track and field coach, Wes Kittley, "said head coach Pat Ponder. "There will also be more Lone Star Conference teams at Abilene Christian, which will give us a good benchmark of where we stand right now."
 
The field events will start at 11 a.m. with the javelin throw, while the running events begin at 12:20 p.m. with the 3000-meter steeplechase. All events will be held at Elmer Gray Stadium in Abilene.
