THE GAMES
Tarleton will take the field in Stephenville this weekend for four crucial games against No. 3 Angelo State, beginning with a Friday afternoon doubleheader at 1 p.m. The first two games will be played Friday with single games on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. each day.
 
GAME DAY PROMOTION
The Tarleton Athletic Department will be on hand serving free hot dogs and handing out free T-shirts beginning at 2:30 p.m.
 
SCHEDULE CHANGE
This weekend's series has been altered from its original plan. The original schedule called for a 1-2-1 series with Saturday playing host to a doubleheader, but inclement weather has forced the series to move to a 2-1-1 format with the twin bill being played on Friday.
 
TARLETON SPORTS NETWORK
A radio broadcast of Friday's doubleheader will be broadcast on the Tarleton Sports Network 90.5 FM in Stephenville and online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. There will be a live video feed of all four games available for free at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.
 
ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton is coming off a tough trip to Kingsville in which the Texans dropped four close games to the Javelinas. The Texans boast a 16-12 overall record this season and are hitting .277 as a team with a Lone Star Conference leading 33 home runs. The Tarleton pitching staff has a team ERA of 3.95 in over 227 innings of work this season.
 
ABOUT THE RAMS
Angelo State opened Lone Star Conference play last weekend with a home sweep of Cameron and come into the weekend series with a record of 22-4, including a 17-4 mark at home after opening the season with 21 of their first 26 games in San Angelo. The Rams come into the series with a .348 team batting average and a 3.89 team ERA.
