THE GAMES
Tarleton Baseball is back in Stephenville this week for four Lone Star Conference games against UT Permian Basin, beginning Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. The Texans and Falcons will play a 1-2-1 series in Stephenville this Thursday-Saturday to avoid playing games on Easter Sunday.
 
GAME DAY PROMOTION
The Tarleton Athletic Department will be giving out free Easter Eggs at Thursday's series opener.
 
TARLETON SPORTS NETWORK
A radio broadcast of Friday's doubleheader and Saturday's series finale will be broadcast on the Tarleton Sports Network 90.5 FM in Stephenville and online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. There will be a live video feed of all four games available for free at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.
 
ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton is coming off a series loss at Eastern New Mexico last weekend. The Texans enter the weekend with a 19-17 record overall and a 2-9 mark in LSC play. Tarleton is hitting .283 as a team and has a 4.30 team ERA from the mound.
 
ABOUT THE FALCONS
UT Permian Basin comes into the weekend have won just two of their last 25 games dating back to February 24. The Falcons are 8-24 on the season and 1-7 in league action. UTPB comes into the weekend hitting .257 as a team and pitching 5.47 as a unit.

Tarleton enters this weekend's series ranked, as a team, among the top 50 in the nation in the following statistical categories:

SERIES HISTORY
Tarleton and UT Permian Basin have met five times since the series began in 2011 and the Texans boast a 5-0 record against the Falcons. The first ever series between the two teams took place in Stephenville in 2011 and Tarleton swept the three-game series. This is the first meeting between the two teams as LSC rivals.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will hit the road next weekend for four games in Canyon against West Texas A&M. Tarleton and WT have already played four games this season, but next weekend's series will count toward conference standings.
