THE GAME
Tarleton men's basketball begins the second half of Lone Star Conference play when Cameron and Midwestern State come to Stephenville this week. The Texans face the Aggies on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mustangs on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 4 p.m.
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. ABOUT THE AGGIES:
Cameron enters the game 7-11 overall and 3-6 in the Lone Star Conference. The Aggies have won two straight games, both at home, but are 1-8 on the road and have lost eight straight on the road. CU is averaging 73.9 points per game and giving up 75.1 to opponents. JV Long leads the Aggies in scoring with 10.1 points.
THE SERIES: CAMERON
Tarleton and Cameron are meeting for the 36th time in program history, with the Texans leading the series 27-9. Tarleton six of the last eight games. The Aggies won the first meeting in Lawton, OK, 64-63. Tarleton is 17-2 all time at home against Cameron.
ABOUT THE MUSTANGS:
Midwestern State is 6-12 on the season and 3-6 in the Lone Star Conference. The Mustangs lost their last game at Cameron, and are 2-5 on the road. The Mustangs are averaging 79.8 points and allowing 84.4 points to opponents. MSU has three players averaging double figures in points, led by Brandon Neel's 17.8 points. Neel also leads the team in rebounds with 6.1.
THE SERIES: MIDWESTERN STATE
Tarleton and Midwestern State are meeting for the 56th time in program history, with the Texans leading the series, 28-27. The Texans have won four straight over the Mustangs and are 12-10 all-time at home in the series.
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated No. 7 West Texas A&M, 82-74, but fell to No. 11 UT Permian Basin, 74-67.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The Texans makes its longest road trip of the season as they travel to New Mexico to taken on Eastern and Western New Mexico from Feb. 1-3.
