A LOOK BACK AT LAST TIME OUT
A dominant first quarter set the tone for Tarleton as the TexAnns won their third straight game with a 60-49 win over Southeastern Oklahoma to close out the 2017 calendar year on Star Wars Day in Wisdom Gym. Led by a perfect 8-8 day at the charity stripe, Bostad led the team with 16 points on 3-6shooting from the floor, including 2-4 from downtown. Tatum (9), Collins (5), Hailey (5), and Webster (1) combined for 20 more in the starting lineup.

INSIDE THE SERIES: ANGELO STATE
Tarleton and Angelo State have arguably the richest tradition of any rivalry in program history, which dates back to 1977. The TexAnns owns a 29-24 advantage in the all-time series, including a 17-6 edge in games played in Stephenville. Tarleton has won six of the last seven meetings, including a pair of improbable comebacks in each of the last two meetings. Tarleton hosted Angelo State in last year's home finale on ESPN3 and erased an 11-point deficit over the final 4:55 and won on a Travanti Downes jumper and a pair of Bailey Wipff technical free throws with a second left to earn a win. A few weeks later, the teams met once again in the LSC Tournament Championship and Tarleton came back from 17 points down to defeat the Rambelles and earn the tournament title.

INSIDE THE SERIES: TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
Tarleton and Texas A&M-Kingsville have met 46 times in their history, which dates to 1986. Tarleton owns a 28-18 lead over the Javelinas all-time, including a 15-10 edge in Stephenville. Tarleton has won 16 straight against the Javelinas, including the LSC Tournament semifinals last year, and 25 of the last 27 meetings since 2004.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will hit the road for two games next week as the TexAnns head to Texas A&M-Commerce on Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. and then play a rare afternoon game Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Kitty Magee Arena in Denton against Texas Woman's.
