THE GAME
Tarleton men's basketball begins a four-game road trip as the Texans travel to west to take on Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. The Texans face the Greyhounds on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 8:30 p.m. CST and the Mustangs on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. CST
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. ABOUT THE GREYHOUNDS:
Eastern New Mexico enters the game 8-12 on the season and 3-8 in the Lone Star Conference. The Greyhounds have lost two straight and are 2-4 at home. ENMU is averaging 77 points per game and giving up 80 to opponents. The Greyhounds have two players averaging doule figures in scoring, led by Zach Parker's 12 points.
THE SERIES: EASTERN NEW MEXICO
Tarleton and Eastern New Mexico are meeting for the 51st time in program history with the Texans leading the series 43-7. The Texans are 18-5 all-time in Portales and have won 12 straight overall and four straight on the road.
ABOUT THE MUSTANGS:
Western New Mexico enters the game 3-17 overall and 0-11 in the Lone Star Conference. The Mustangs have lost seven straight and are 2-6 at home this season. WNMU is averaging 69 points and giving up 84 points to opponents. The Mustangs are led by Willie McCray's 12.4 points.
THE SERIES: WESTERN NEW MEXICO
Tarleton and Western New Mexico are meeting for the seventh time in program history with the Texans leading the series 5-1. Tarleton has won five straight in the series and is 1-1 in Silver City.
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated Cameron 68-59 and was led by Corinthian Ramsey's 29 points. The Texans then defeated Midwestern State 82-75, where Ramsey scored 23 points in the win.
