STEPHENVILLE –
Preston Enloe scored a career-high 20 points – including 15 in the second half – to carry Tarleton to an 83-70 victory over Southwest (N.M.) in the final game of the F&M Bank Tip-Off Classic in Wisdom Gym.
The Texans (3-1) started off slow offensively in the first half, scoring only 30 points in the first twenty minutes to lead by three at the break.
Tarleton led by one with 12:18 left in the game when the offense caught fire from outside as the Texans went on a 7-0 run to go up 56-48. Enloe drilled three straight 3-pointers for a double-digit Texan lead at 67-57. The Texans stayed with the long ball as

Randall Broddie and Enloe hit three straight threes for a game-high 17-point lead at 76-59 with 4:12 to go.
The Texans shot 10-15 from 3-pointers in the second half, and went 14-27 for the game. Enloe made six 3-pointers, while
Randall Broddie scored all 12 of his points from behind the arc and Hawley drained a pair of 3's
Enloe wasn't the only Texan to have a big second-half performance as Hawley scored all 16 of his points in the final frame to go with six rebounds.
Richie Mitchell came off the bench and scored eight points and dished out seven assists in the second half as well.
The Texans finished the game shooting 54 percent from the field and 51 percent on 3-pointers.
Clashon Gaffney (8 points, 7 rebounds) and
Jesse Hill (7 points, 8 rebounds) provided a spark down low off the bench.
Corinthian Ramsey added six points and four assists, while
Jaraan Lands and
Isaiah Boling each scored three points to round out the Texan scoring efforts.
Tarleton will stay at home to take on Jarvis Christian on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
