Texan Basketball Game Day: Dec. 12 vs Arlington Baptist

Texans return to action at home against Arlington Baptist

THE GAMES
Tarleton men's basketball will take a break from Lone Star Conference play and take on Arlington Baptist in Wisdom Gym. The Texans will face the Patriots on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans Byron Anderson will have the call for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.
 
PROMOTIONS
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12
The Stephenville Stingers will perform at halftime of the men's game against Arlington Baptist. Wednesday's game will also be 'Take a Kid to the Game' Night, which allows any child K-8th to receive free admission with a purchased adult ticket. One free child's ticket for each paid adult ticket.
 
ABOUT TARLETON:
The Texans are 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the LSC on the season and are averaging 79 points per game while holding teams to 73.5 points. The Texans shoot 47 percent from the floor and 39 percent on 3-pointers. Tarleton has three players averaging double figures with Corinthian Ramsey leading all players with 16 points. Josh Hawley averages 14.9 points and Randall Broddie puts up 10.5 points a night. Hawley leads the team with 10.9 rebounds and has five double-doubles in eight games.
 
ABOUT ARLINGTON BAPTIST:
Arlington Baptist comes in with a 2-8 record overall and has won its last two games after starting 0-8. The Patriots average 66.7 points per game and its defense allows 81.4 points. Arlington Baptist is led by Kennedy Jones' 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds while Jashun Petite averages 10.1 points. Tarleton is 8-0 all time against Arlington Baptist since they first met in 2010.
