THE GAME
Tarleton men's basketball closes out the regular season at home against a pair of nationally-ranked teams in UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M. The Texans host No. 12 UTPB on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. and No. 7 WT on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m.
 
WHAT'S AT STAKE
This weekend's games will determine seeding for the Lone Star Conference tournament and the Texans can play a major role in who plays who. While the Texans have already clinched a playoff spot in the LSC tournament, they can still play spoiler for who wins the LSC, since they host the top two teams this week. The Texans hold a one-game lead over Texas A&M-Commerce for third place and can finish no worse than fourth. Tarleton is currently fighting for its postseason life in the NCAA tournament as the Texans are ninth in the regional rankings and looking to move higher.
 
SENIOR DAY
Senior Day is set for Saturday and the Texans will recognize their two senior leaders – Deshawn Riddick and Nosa Ebomwonyi. Riddick and Ebomwonyi are four-year Texans have have played over 120 games in their careers as they are set for their final contest in Wisdom Gym.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.
 
TICKET INFORMATION
The Tarleton State Ticket Office is open from 1:30-4 p.m. in the main lobby of Wisdom Gym and can be reached by telephone at 254-968-1832. Cash, check, and cards are all accepted. Tarleton's Stephenville Campus Students receive free admission to all home games with valid Stephenville Campus Student ID.
 
ABOUT THE FALCONS:
UT Permian Basin is 22-3 on the season and tied for first in the LSC at 14-2. The Falcons have won four straight and are 7-3 on the road this season. UTPB is averaging 89.2 points per game and holding teams to 76.3 points. The Falcons have four players averaging double figures in scoring, led by All-Region guard Daeshon Francis' 21.3 points. UTPB is the No. 2-ranked team in the South Central Region.
 
THE SERIES: UT PERMIAN BASIN
Tarleton and UT Permian Basin are meeting for the 10th time in program history, with the Texans leading the series 6-3. Tarleton is 6-1 at home against UTPB. The Falcons have won three straight in the series.
 
ABOUT THE BUFFS:
West Texas A&M enters the weekend 24-2 overall and tied with UTPB for first in the LSC at 14-2. The Buffs have won a league-best eight straight games and are 7-1 on the road this season. WT is averaging 90.8 points and holding teams to 74 points. WT has four players averaging double figures in scoring, led by David Chavlovich's 20.2 points. The Buffs are the No. 1-ranked team in the region.
 
THE SERIES: WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton and West Texas A&M are meeting for the 51st time in the Lonn Reisman era, with the teams tied at 25-25. Tarleton is 15-7 at home against the Buffs, and have won eight straight in Wisdom Gym against WT.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated Northern New Mexico 98-50 for win No. 17 of the season. The Texans were led by Corinthian Ramsey's 16 points, 16 assists, and eight rebounds.
