A LOOK AT LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton swept Arlington Baptist in their home debut series to improve to 5-4 on the season. The Texans had wins of 23-2, 5-0, and 9-6.

LSC HITTER OF THE WEEK
Francisco Rodriguez played a big role offensively in leading Tarleton to a sweep of Arlington Baptist last weekend and it led to the senior being named the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week. Rodriguez was on fire at the plate in last weekend's home-opening series. The outfielder from Venezuela hit .636 in 11 at bats with a team-high seven RBI. He boasted two doubles and a home run while scoring four runs and racking up 12 total bases for the series. He slugged 1.091 to go along with a .714 on-base percentage and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with three putouts in centerfield. He also stole two bases. It's the first career LSC weekly award for Rodriguez.

INSIDE THE SERIES
This is the first ever meeting for Tarleton and Adams State.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will head to Canyon next weekend for a four-game, conference-opener series against West Texas A&M beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. It will be a traditional 1-2-1 series spanning Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
