CANYON – Tarleton dropped its fourth straight game to West Texas A&M Sunday afternoon with a 14-4 loss at Wilder Park.
Tarleton's four runs came across via the long ball when
Jake Shelby teed off for a three-run shot in the fourth inning and
Tyler Fowler added a solo jack in the eighth. Fowler was the only Texan with a multi-hit performance, going 2-3 with two runs scored and a RBI.
Francisco Rodriguez,
Jared McCarver,
Hunter Hudson, and Shelby had one hit each for Tarleton.
Tarleton will look to turn things around when the Texans return home next weekend for a four-game series against Cameron, beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
