THE GAMES
No. 18 Tarleton returns to Lone Star Conference play to host Texas Woman's for a three-game series beginning Friday with one game at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader set to start at 1 p.m. The TexAnns have won 16 of the last 17 games to run their record to 34-7 overall and 14-7 in the Lone Star Conference. Texas Woman's is 21-12 overall and 9-6 in the LSC.

TICKET INFORMATION
The Tarleton State Ticket Office is open from 1:30-4 p.m. in the main lobby of Wisdom Gym and can be reached by telephone at 254-968-1832. Cash, check, and cards are all accepted. Football tickets can be purchased at the main ticket office in Wisdom Gym but the day of a football game, tickets can be purchased at the football ticket window on the west side (Harbin St.) of Tarleton Memorial Stadium. Tarleton's Stephenville Campus Students receive free admission to all home games with valid Stephenville Campus Student ID.
A LOOK AT LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton swept a pair of games from Texas A&M International with sweeps in both games. The TexAnns won the opener 2-0 and followed with a 4-0 victory in the finale.
TEXANNS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
The TexAnns have moved up two spots in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to No. 18 in the latest rankings. It's the third straight week for Tarleton in the poll after debuting at No. 25 last week. Tarleton is one of only four 34-win teams in the NFCA rankings. The other three 30-win teams occupy the top three spots – Colorado Mesa (1), North Georgia (2), and Chico State (3).
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second straight week, third time in four weeks, and fourth time this season,
Jordan Withrow has been named the top pitcher in the Lone Star Conference after her efforts against No. 4 Angelo State last weekend. She started and completed both games that Tarleton won over ASU last weekend, throwing 14.0 innings and holding the Rambelles to a .174 batting average. She boasted an ERA of 1.50 while allowing just three earned runs in those two starts. She also continued to add to her LSC-leading strikeout totals with 11 more for the weekend.
MILESTONE WATCH:
Nyka Wood
Nyka Wood, who is already the school's all-time leader in RBI and doubles, is currently closing in on the following school records:
• Games Played – Wood is three games shy of passing
Melody Mayse (209) for the most games played in program history.
• Hits – Wood is 16 hits shy of passing
Melody Mayse (260) for the all-time hits record
• Total Bases – Wood is 40 total bases shy of passing
Arianna Rodriguez (388) for the most total bases in program history.
MILESTONE WATCH:
Jordan Withrow
Jordan Withrow is currently enjoying a stellar sophomore season and is closing in on the following single-season school records:
• Strikeouts – Withrow is 12 strikeouts from passing Carla Geeslin (198; 2003) for the most strikeouts in a single season and 13 strikeouts from becoming the first TexAnn in program history with 200 Ks in a season.
• Wins – Withrow is six wins away from passing Brooke Saulters (24; 2007) for the most wins by a Tarleton pitcher in a single season.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and Texas Woman's are meeting for the 83
nd time since they first played in 1997. The TexAnns hold the series lead 45-37 and are 19-13 at home all time. The TexAnns played the Pioneers in a non-conference game on Feb. 10 in San Antonio and won 3-0.
