LAST TIME OUT
The Texans are off to a 3-0 start after cruising past East Central 70-50 for its highest scoring output of the season on Thursday in Wisdom Gym.
Tarleton had 12 players score in the game, led by
Mackenzie Hailey's 12 points. The Texans also had three players in double figures and eight with at least five points in a balanced offensive attack that allowed them to lead from start to finish over the Tigers.
It's now the second straight season the Texans have started 3-0.
INSIDE THE SERIES: ARLINGTON BAPTIST
The Texans and Patriots met last season, where Tarleton defeated Arlington Baptist in Stephenville, 98-66. The Texans lead the all-time series 5-0. Arlington Baptist enters the game 2-2 on the season.
INSIDE THE SERIES: TEXAS WOMAN'S
The Texans and Pioneers met last season, where Tarleton defeated Texas Woman's in Denton, 58-57. The Texans lead the all-time series 33-17 and hold the advantage in Wisdom, 20-4. Texas Woman's enters the game 1-1 on the season.
FREE ADMISSION TO THURSDAY'S GAMES WITH DONATION TO 'TOYS FOR KIDS'
Tarleton Athletics is offering the chance for free admission to Thursday's doubleheader basketball games in Wisdom Gym.
Tarleton Athletics is partnering with the Stephenville Optimist Club for the annual Toys for Kids game. Fans will receive free admission to Thursday's games with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy. Free photos with Santa Claus will also be available inside the lobby of Wisdom Gym.
Students who bring a new unwrapped toy to the game will receive a promo code for 100 Tarleton Sports Fan Rewards Points.
SAME CONFERENCE, NEW OPPONENTS
The Lone Star Conference expanded to 19-member institutions earlier this summer with the addition of eight new teams. The LSC is officially the largest conference in NCAA Division II.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The Texans will head to Pittsburg, Kansas for their first road match-up of the 2019-20 season. Tarleton will face Pittsburgh State at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27th.
