LAST TIME OUT
Texans have best defensive performance in a decade with rout of UT Tyler. The Texans pounded UT Tyler 61-30 – the fewest points allowed by the Texans since they topped Concordia 109-29 in 2009. Tarleton picked up its first Lone Star Conference victory of the season in the process. Mackenzie Hailey scored a game-high 15 points and passed Shelby Adamson for fifth place on the all-time scoring list with 1,557 career points.

In arguably Tarleton's most physical game of the young season, the Texan Women's Basketball team suffered a 72-63 loss to No. 8 Texas A&M-Commerce in Wisdom Gym. Despite the loss, Hailey recorded her 28th career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

INSIDE THE SERIES: MCMURRY
The Texans and War Hawks last met in 2015, where Tarleton defeated McMurry on the road, 85-62. Tarleton leads the all-time series 41-3 and is undefeated in Stephenville, 17-0.

HAILEY REWRITING THE RECORD BOOK
Mackenzie Hailey is climbing the all-time leaderboard in several categories and is close to moving up to the next spot:
• Blocks: 110 (4th place); Needs 4 blocks to pass Kaelie Butler for 3rd place.
• Steals: 206 (8th place); Needs 4 steals to pass Ronda Edwards for 7th place.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The Texans will kick-off the New Year with two home match-ups later this week. Tarleton will first face Texas A&M-Kingsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and then Texas A&M-International on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
