Tarleton Volleyball (22-11, 12-6 LSC) is headed back to the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Regional Tournament for the sixth consecutive season after being named the No. 7 seed in the South Central Region. The Texans will square off with No. 2-seed Colorado Mines on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Denver, Colorado, hosted by No. 1 seed Regis.

GAME COVERAGE & TICKETS
All of Tarleton's postseason matches will be broadcasted over the airwaves on 100.7 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas, as well as online at www.tarleton.edu/ThePlanet. Direct links to live stats, video, and audio can be found on the Tarleton Volleyball schedule page. Tickets are available at the gate only. There are no advanced ticket options. Adults are $10, students and seniors are $5, and kids (age six and under) are free.

LAST TIME OUT
The Texans are coming off their sixth straight trip to the Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship match and have won 10 of their last 12 matches.

Lauren Kersey led the team with 17 kills while
Carmen Kinsey added nine.
Adriana Darthuy and
Kayla Brannon recorded 21 and 13 digs respectively.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
Following last week's Thanksgiving holiday, the NCAA Division II postseason will fire back up this weekend at the regional tournament where Tarleton had earned the No. 7 seed. The tournament is set for Thursday-Saturday in Denver, Colorado.

The bracket has been set by host Regis and Tarleton will open its tournament run in Thursday's second quarterfinal match against No. 2-seed Colorado Mines at 3:30 p.m. CT / 2:30 p.m. MT. The winner of the match will advance to the tournament semifinals Friday at 6 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. MT against the winner of Angelo State and West Texas A&M.

The eight-team, single-elimination tournament consists of four first-round matches on Thursday, followed by two semifinal games on Friday and the championship match on Saturday. Teams will compete for the NCAA South Central Regional Championship and the rights to advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament in Denver, Colorado from Dec. 12th – 14th.

THE OPPONENT: COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES
The Texans and Orediggers last met in 2018, where Tarleton defeated Colorado Mines in Wisdom, 3-1. The Orediggers lead the all-time series 2-1. Colorado Mines enters the match 23-6 on the season and is the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

TUIALII-UMI TABBED ALL-REGION SECOND TEAM BY D2CCA
Tuialii-Umi racked up her second all-region honor of the season with a second-team nod from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).

Tuialii-Umi has had a breakout season as a senior, leading the Texans with 397 kills at 3.10 kills per set and had a team-high 460.5 point so far. The Bell, California native had double-digit kills in 24 of the 33 matches played, including a career-high 22 kills against St. Edward's which led to the LSC Offensive Player of the Week award and the AVCA National Player of the Week award. Defensively, Tuialii-Umi recorded 218 digs and 83 blocks.

TUIALII-UMI NAMED AVCA HONORABLE MENTION ALL-REGION
For the fifth straight season, Tarleton has an all-region selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as Tuialii-Umi earned honorable mention accolades Wednesday morning.

She becomes the seventh player in program history – all over the last five seasons – to earn all-region recognition from the AVCA.

Tarleton Volleyball received votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. The Texans are one of three LSC teams in the poll, joining Angelo State (12) and Texas A&M-Commerce (RV).
