ABILENE – No. 23 Tarleton dropped its first match of the season Thursday night in a 5-2 loss at Division I Abilene Christian.
After Tarleton suffered a sweep in doubles to drop the opening point, Tarleton's Sofjia Hrovat earned her first collegiate victory of the season with an 8-6 victory in the No. 6 match. It was Hrovat's first singles action of the young season.
Neetika Sud also gave Tarleton a singles point by rallying back from a 4-6 loss in the second set to take the match with a 7-5 win in the third.
