STEPHENVILLE – Despite an unprecedented semester, 34 current and former student-athletes of Tarleton State University will receive their degrees at the next commencement ceremony. Tarleton will host its next commencement ceremony in August at Memorial Stadium.
 
"We are so proud of all of our student-athletes who have persevered through this trying time and have earned their degree," said Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Lonn Reisman. "Even though they can't receive their diplomas in person this May, we look forward to celebrating them in August as they proudly walk across the stage displaying their specialized student-athlete stole. We are so proud of their contributions to our university – on and off the court, track or field – and wish them the best of luck as they pursue careers and make positive impacts in communities all over the world."
 
The student-athletes graduating in August will be the final graduating class of Tarleton State University's NCAA Division II era. The university will accept membership into NCAA Division I and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) on July 1, 2020.
