STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State's student-athletes keep excelling, both on and off their playing surfaces.
Every semester since Tarleton State reclassified to NCAA Division I, several programs have set new GPA records, and the Fall 2025 semester was no different. Six Texan programs in total set or tied new GPA records this past semester.
Tarleton State Women's Tennis had the highest GPA among all programs this semester at 3.79, with eight student-athletes posting a 3.5+ GPA. That mark tied its best semester GPA on record in program history.
Five others set new term GPA records; Beach Volleyball at 3.76, Women's Basketball at 3.67, Baseball at 3.63, Men's Golf at 3.62 and Football at 3.02.
Among Tarleton State's roughly 400 student-athletes, they averaged a 3.26 GPA, nearly matching last year's record setting Fall semester GPA of 3.27. Over 20 percent of Tarleton State's student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 this semester, over 50 percent of Tarleton State's student-athletes posted a 3.5+ GPA, and 75 percent earned a 3.0+ GPA.
