AT A GLANCE
 
Tarleton Men's Basketball will back-to-back-to-back games this weekend as it makes its first WAC roadtrip to take on California Baptist on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 15-16 at 6 p.m. in the CBU Events Center. The Texans will then travel to Ogden, Utah to play Weber State from the Big Sky in a non-conference matchup on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. CST. CBU is 3-4, 0-2 on the season while Tarleton is 2-4, 0-2. CBU was swept by Utah Valley to open WAC play while Tarleton lost both contests to Grand Canyon. Tarleton and CBU are meeting for the first time in program history despite both being transitional teams from NCAA Division II. Weber State is 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky.
 
GAME COVERAGE
 
Friday and Saturday's games will broadcast the WAC Digital Network. Sunday's game will be on Pluto TV Channel 1054. A complete radio broadcast of the game can be heard on the Tarleton Sports Network presented by the North Texas Ford Dealers. ATTENDING THE GAME
 
California Baptist and Weber State are not allowing fans inside the CBU Events Center or the Dee Events Center this season due to COVID19.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES: CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
 
Tarleton and CBU are meeting for the first time in program history. The Texans were both once Division II perennial powers and made the Division II Elite Eight in back-to-back seasons, but never in the same season (Tarleton 2016-17; CBU 2017-18).

LAST TIME OUT: GRAND CANYON
 
Tarleton made its WAC debut at home last weekend against Grand Canyon and fell in two close contests. The Texans dropped the opener 75-72 and 59-48 in the second game. Montre Gipson led the Texans in scoring those two games with a career-high 30 points in the opener and nine in the finale.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON: SEATTLE U
 
Tarleton will host Seattle U for a pair of WAC games inside Wisdom Gym on Jan. 22-23. Friday's game vs. the Redhawks will broadcast live on ESPN+.
