QUICK HITS
  • The Texans have won three straight and four of their last five games, dating back to last season. With a win against the Cougars, Tarleton will earn its four four-game winning streak since Feb. 13-26, 2021, and its first five-out-of-six stretch since 2019-20.
  • The Texans are looking for their first road win of the year in their second try, with the season-opening loss at Arkansas their only other time away from home so far this year.
  • Tarleton won by 43 points in the last game vs. Howard Payne on Saturday (87-44). The 43-point margin of victory was the Texans' second largest in the program's D1 era, second only to a 95-27 drubbing of Champion Christian on Dec. 12.

  • Starting point guard Malaya Kendrick has led the Texans in rebounding in three of four games. Her 9.5 RPG is tied-third best in the WAC. Only Utah Valley center Josie Williams (13.0 RPG) and California Baptist guard Georgia Dale (10.7 RPG) are averaging more.
  • In the first four games, the Texans have played at least 14 of their 15 players in each contest.
  • Tarleton has the third highest winning percentage in the WAC thus far, trailing ACU and SFA.
  • Iyana Dorsey has nine steals over her first four games, averaging 2.3 swipes on the year.
