AT A GLANCE
The Texans will take on the Demons of Northwestern State in a three-game road series this weekend. Tarleton (1-4) will play the Demons Friday night at 6:30 p.m. at Brown-Stroud Field in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Game two and three of the series will consist of a doubleheader Saturday Feb. 27 starting at 12 p.m. with two nine inning games.
 
The Texans and Demons are meeting for the first time in program history.

ATTENDING THE GAME AT TARLETON

INSIDE THE SERIES: NORTHWESTERN STATE
The Texans and Demons are meeting for the first time in program history.
 
LAST TIME OUT: TEXAS A&M
The Texans last took on the Aggies of Texas A&M and forced the game into extra innings after a rally in the top of the ninth. The Texans fell short after the Aggies it a walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth.
 
Wade Raburn had another standout game for the Texans, in five at bats he had three hits, one RBI, and scored two runs. Cody Vannoy and Tyler Fowler also had multi-hit games securing 2 hits each, while five other Texans added one hit each.
 
Tarleton had five pitchers see the mound on Wednesday night's game, led by Landon Cody who got the start and went 4.2 innings with five strikeouts. Ty Jones closed out the game with 2.1 innings pitched and 2 recorded strikeouts.
 
UP NEXT
The Texans will head home for a two-game midweek series with Arkansas Pine Bluff on March 2 and 3. Tuesday's first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. while Wednesday's game is slated for 1 p.m. at the Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex.
