The Texans and Lions are meeting for the first time in program history.
Â
LAST TIME OUT: NORTHWESTERN STATE
The Texans dominated in the first game of the three-game series but fell short in the last two.
In the first game,
Alex Pinedo was on his game at the mound striking out seven of the Demons and only allowing one walk in a complete game two-hit shutout. Â
Â
Game two exhibited another strong game at the mound.
Zach Gagnon worked through two scoreless innings before the Demons got on the board first in the bottom of the third inning. The Demons were able to add another run before the Texans got one run back in the ninth but couldn't get anything else to fall.
Â
In the last game of the series, a three-run fourth inning put the Texans in the lead for the majority of the game, but the Demons returned the favor and took the last game on a walk-off three-run home run. Â
Â
