CONWAY – Tarleton wasn't able to capitalize on seven hits for the day dropping their first game of the weekend against Central Arkansas.

Tyler Fowler and
Jordan Parker each had multi-hit games recording two each.
Kade Turnage recorded the only RBI of the day on a single to right field scoring Parker from second.

The Texans couldn't get anything to fall after getting a runner on in the first four innings.

Tarleton got one run back in the top of the sixth in a two-out rally.
Jordan Parker doubled up the middle to get things going for the Texans when
Kade Turnage came to bat and singled to right field scoring the only run of the night, Parker from second.

Alex Pinedo started on the mound tonight for the Texans going three innings with five strikeouts and allowing six runs.
Justin Waltmon relieved Pinedo in the bottom of the fourth going four innings and recording one strikeout but allowing no runs and no hits. Waltmon went three up three down in the bottom of the fourth and leaving the Bears scoreless through seven.
Zane Badmaev closed things down tonight on the bump pitching one innings and striking out one while only allowing one hit.

Tarleton gets game two of a doubleheader started tomorrow at noon against Missouri State in Conway, Arkansas. The Texans will then take on Central Arkansas for game two following the conclusion of the game with Missouri State.
