GREELEY – In a game that was all offense today the Texans fell 15-9 in the first game of the series to the Bears.

The Texans got behind early as the Bears scored a run in the 1
st and 2
nd, but they were able to tie things up in the top of the 3
rd when they plated two runs. The Bears answered with a 10 spot in the third which ultimately led them to victory tonight.

Trying to cut into the deficit in the 4
th the Texans plated five on a three-run home run from
Bryan Aguilar, his third of the season, a sacrifice fly from
Blake Burns and a single from
London Green. Northern Colorado plated three more in the bottom of the 4
th.

Hunter Thomas came in to pitch in the 4
th inning allowing no runs and only two hits in his 4 innings of work while striking out six bears.

The Texans were able to plate two more in the 6
th on singles from Burns and
Wade Raburn but couldn't get any more runs across.

Tyler Fowler and
London Green each had two hits on the day with Aguilar recording a game high three RBI. Green was the only one to record a stolen base today, his 11
th of the year.

The Texans face the Bears again tomorrow for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. CT.
