AT A GLANCE
The Texans are on the road for the last time this season to take on the Vaqueros of UTRGV in a four-game conference series this weekend. The series will be the first matchup between the two teams in program history. The Texans and Vaqueros first game is slated for 6 p.m. CT on Friday, May 7 with a doubleheader Saturday and a series finale Sunday.
 
The Texans are 19-28 this season after a weekend WAC series split with Northern Colorado. The Vaqueros are 22-20 after falling last weekend 1-3 against WAC opponent New Mexico State.

Tarleton and UTRGV are meeting for the first time in program history.
 
LAST TIME OUT: NORTHERN COLORADO
Tarleton baseball faced off against Northern Colorado on the road and split the series with the Bears 2-2. The series stated out with the Texans falling in game one and then splitting the Saturday doubleheader before defeating the Bears 21-5 in a seven-inning run rule to close out the series.
 
Both teams shined offensively on the weekend with the Texans accumulating 46 runs on the weekend.
 
UP NEXT
Tarleton will close out their inaugural Division I season at home as they take on Grand Canyon for a four-game conference series. The first game back at the Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex is slated for Friday, May 14 at 3 p.m. CT.
