RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Tarleton women's soccer team fell short 3-1 Friday night at Lancer Soccer Field against California Baptist University.
The Texans (4-6-3, 0-4-2 WAC) were the first to light up the scoreboard as
Macie Witter earned her first goal of the season off an
Avery Harr assist. It would be all CBU (6-3-3, 3-2-1 WAC) after that, starting with a header from Elizabeth Oglesby in the 40th minute of play. The Lancers' Lourdes Bosch would pick up two goals in the second half to seal the fate of the Texans.
Tarleton took two shots on goal compared to CBU's ten and the Texans'
Mikayla Kendall recorded seven saves in her return to the pitch.
Tarleton will play GCU in the last of their four-straight road games on Sunday, Oct. 16, at GCU Stadium in Phoenix.
