ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- This is the eighth all-time meeting and the second this season, the first happening on New Year's Eve in Arlington with UTA winning 92-68. Before Dec. 31, they hadn't met since 1991. Tarleton last hosted UTA on Jan. 29, 1983, a Texans' 81-53 win. UTA leads the all-time series 6-1.
- UTA has lost three straight since beating Tarleton, just barely losing to GCU 77-75 last time out.

- The Texans just snapped a season-long six-game losing streak with their 70-60 win over UTRGV Wednesday. It was Tarleton's longest skid since Dec. 14, 2020, through Jan. 23, 2021 (seven games).

- Teresa Da Silva – With 21 points Wednesday, Da Silva is back in the top-five in scoring in the WAC, now fifth at 15.0 PPG. She's also ninth in assists per game (3.3). She's one of four WAC players in the top-10 in both scoring and assists (Macie Warren, Breaunna Gillen, Cherita Daugherty).
- Mayra Caicedo – Caicedo just tallied 14 points, six assists and three rebounds, moving to eighth in the WAC in assists per game at 3.8. She has back-to-back double-digit scoring games for the first time as a Texan, and it was her third 10+ point, 5+ assist game this year (first since Dec. 19).
- Elise Turrubiates – Turrubiates just recorded 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting, nine rebounds and three steals in 22 minutes off the bench. It was a career-high in boards for the sophomore, and her fourth 10+ point game. She has 24 steals and 10 blocks, one of five players in the WAC with 20+ steals and 10+ blocks..
