• This is the fifth all-time meeting, dating back to 1981, and the third over the past two seasons. Tarleton has won three straight, winning both last season, including an 83-63 win at home.
• Sam Houston is on a season-long three-game losing streak following a season-long three-game winning streak. This is the last leg of their season-long conference three-game road trip.

• Elise Turrubiates – Last week, Turrubiates averaged 18.5 points on 14-of-22 (.636) shooting, plus 9-of-11 (.818) from the free throw line, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in two games, both off the bench. She averaged the second most points in the WAC last week, only behind Utah Tech's Breaunna Gillen.
• Teresa Da Silva – Last week, Da Silva averaged 18.5 points on 9-of-17 (.529) shooting from distance, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. With nine three-point makes over her past two games, she's now made 37 on the year, the fourth most three-point makes in the WAC this season.
• Mayra Caicedo – Caicedo just dished out a season-high seven assists, adding 13 points and four steals. She has 13 assists (6.5 APG) over her last two games, and has scored in double figures in a season-long three straight games. She had three 10+ point games entering the span over her first 13.

 
NUMBERS TO KNOW
1: Tarleton ALLOWED JUST ONE THREE-POINT MAKE in their last game, forcing UT Arlington to 1-of-6 (.167) from the three-point line. The Texans have allowed the second fewest three-point makes in the WAC at 82. Sam Houston has allowed the fewest at 72, with two less games played.
 
21.2: The Texans just attempted 14 free throws in the fourth quarter, their most attempts in a frame since Dec. 6. Tarleton is now at 21.2 FREE THROW ATTEMPTS PER GAME, the tied-35th best average in the country, fourth best in the WAC. Sam Houston is third (29th nationally) at 21.7.
 
22: Tarleton will need to have an efficient shooting night, as Sam Houston is ONE OF THE BEST REBOUNDING TEAMS in the nation. The Bearkats are 22nd at 42.9 rebounds per game, tops in the WAC. Tarleton rounds out the WAC at 33.5 RPG, a difference of 9.4 rebounds per game.
 
10: Thursday's game will feature TWO OF THE TOP-10 SCORERS IN THE WAC, with Tarleton's Teresa Da Silva sixth at 15.1 points per game, and Sam Houston's Chyna Allen ninth at 13.9 points per game.
