STEPHENVILLE, Texas
– Tarleton State's second season of women's soccer is nearing a close as the Texans host California Baptist in its penultimate game of the year on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Tarleton Soccer Complex. On Thursday, dogs are encouraged to attend with all dogs receiving a free frisbee and dog treat, water stations will be provided as well.

With two games left on the docket, the Texans are tied for eighth place in the WAC and are unable to qualify for this season's WAC Tournament where the top six squads will earn berths.
Mikayla Kendall has been collecting saves in bunches, totaling a WAC-best, 111, which would rank fifth in the nation if Texans were eligible for the list.
Avery Harr broke the program's shots on goal record she set last season notching 17 in 2023.

Pete Cuadrado has accumulated 178 wins in his career at North Dakota State, Wyoming and Tarleton. He is the all-time winningest coach at NDSU.
California Baptist notched a pair of four-goal victories last week defeating SFA, 4-1 and UTRGV, 4-0. The Lancers lone loss of the season came against Colorado State. CBU is unbeaten in conference play, with four wins and three draws.
Kaylee Hauck leads the team in goals scored this season with 7 goals. She is tied for the 5th most goals in the WAC. The preseason goalie of the year and Week 3 WAC Goalie of the Week, Noa Schumacher has been a staple in between the posts for the Lancers. She has posted 61 saves, a WAC-best 0.63 GAA and has only allowed 10 goals in her 16 games started.
Last season the Lancers bested the Texans, 3-1 in Riverside in the first meeting between the two programs.
Kristen St. Clair led the Lancers since their inception in 2007. She has led the Lancers to consecutive 15-win seasons, and three PacWest Conference and NCCAA National Championships in 2011 and 2012 in her 17 years at the helm.
Tarleton State will close the season on Sunday against Grand Canyon at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, the Texans will host a special Senior Day presentation honoring
Macie Witter after a pair of seasons in Stephenville to close her collegiate career.
