South Dakota State got on the board with two runs in the second inning, one in the third, two in the fourth and sixth and four in the final inning.
Texans

Tulsa 8, Tarleton 0 (6 innings)
Tarleton's struggles on offense continued into the second game of the day, with little going right against a tough Tulsa squad. The Texans were run-ruled in six innings, getting shutout 8-0.
The Golden Hurricane got off to a hot start with four runs in the second inning off a 3 RBI triple and RBI groundout. Three more Tulsa players picked up an RBI each in the fourth inning and a final RBI single in the sixth inning sealed the Texans' fate.

She took the loss however, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing three earned runs on 11 hits and eight walks, earning two strikeouts.
"We did not play our best today," said head coach
Mark Cumpian. "I thought we were very selfish as a team from start to finish. Our schedule is very tough over the next few weeks, so we are going to have to learn to fight and be checked in every single inning. There is no excuse for how we played today."
Tarleton still has more to play at the Tulsa/OSU Tournament over the next two days. They will face South Dakota State again tomorrow at 12 p.m. and Oklahoma State at 5 p.m., both in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at Cowgirl Stadium.
