STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Two Super Regional teams from last season highlight Tarleton State Baseball's 2025 schedule that was announced on Tuesday.  

The Texans, defending WAC champions, host 33 home games at the Tarleton Baseball Complex starting Feb. 14 against Butler.  

Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online here or in person at the Tarleton Athletics Box Office at Memorial Stadium. 

The Purple and White will play in Stephenville against Big 12 foe Kansas on Feb. 21-23. Following a three-game series against the Jayhawks, the team will head to Fort Worth to continue their Big 12 slate against TCU, a four-time College World Series qualifier in the last decade. 

Tarleton State Baseball will play their only neutral site match of the regular season against Houston Christian on Feb. 18 at La Moderna Field, home of the Cleburne Railroaders, the number one MLB partner team in Texas and member of the American Association of Professional Baseball. This will be the first of two meetings between the Texans and Huskies during the 2025 season. They will face off again in Houston on Apr. 30. 

A three-game home stint against St. Thomas will range from Feb. 28 to March 2. This will be the Texans' first series against the Tommies since 2022. Following that series, Tarleton will have a single-game affair in Waco against Big 12 opponent Baylor (March 4). The squad will then return home for a three-game series against New Mexico (March 7-9) and a single game against the UIW Cardinals (March 12). This will be the first of two meetings between the two teams in the 2025 season. 

After heading to Los Angeles to play a series against Loyola Marymount (March 14-16), the Texans will return to Stephenville to battle Kansas State (March 19), a 2024 Super Regional team. Tarleton will remain in Stephenville to host Stephen F. Austin for a three-game series on March 21-23.  

Following their homestand, the Texans will travel to Texas Tech on March 25 to cap off their Big 12 slate at Rip Griffin Park.  

Conference play for Tarleton begins at home against Sacramento State (March 28-20) with a three-game series to replay the first round of the 2024 WAC Tournament. The Purple and White continue conference play against Seattle U (April 4-6). The Texans successfully swept the Redhawks last April and hold a 7-3 record against them all-time. 

 Other notable conference home slates include UT Arlington (April 11-13) and Utah Tech (April 25-27). 

The Texans will go against the 2024 NCAA Tournament runner-up Texas A&M Aggies on April 16 in College Station. This will be the fifth all-time meeting between these two teams. 

The Texans battle two WAC foes on the road during the month of April, starting against Seattle U (April 4-6) followed by Utah Valley (April 17-19).  

After playing a three-game series in Orem against conference foe Utah Valley (April 17-19), Tarleton State Baseball heads to San Marcos for a one-game stint against the Texas State Bobcats (April 23). The Bobcats have appeared in the NCAA Tournament six times throughout their collegiate history.  

The Purple and White will then return to the newly renovated Tarleton Baseball Complex to host its final home series against Utah Tech (April 25-27). 

The defending WAC champs will then play California Baptist for a rematch of the WAC Championship on May 2-4 in a three-game series against the Lancers. The Texans completed the comeback against California Baptist in the 2024 WAC Championship, outscoring them 9-1 in the final game to clinch the conference title.  

Following the trip to Riverside, the Purple and White will play its final road series against longtime rival Abilene Christian, a three-game series ranging from May 9-11. 

Texan Baseball will end its regular season with a three-game series against Grand Canyon, who has appeared in the NCAA Tournament three times in the last five years. The final series of the regular season will be played at the Tarleton Baseball Complex in Stephenville (May 15-17). 

The WAC Tournament will be held in Mesa, Arizona, at Hohokam Stadium on May 20-24. The Texans will look to defend their conference title in 2025 during their first season of NCAA Division I postseason eligibility.
