STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Football's Spring Game is a great day for the program to improve and for fans to enjoy a day at the stadium in a football gameday environment. To add to the student experience for the game, Tarleton Athletics is beginning a special promotion for the event Thursday.
 
The Texans will begin a one-week social media push inviting students to share posts about the Spring Game that will in turn be entries into being selected for the "Student VIP Sideline Experience."
 
The VIP experience will be awarded to 20 Tarleton State students that features field level suite access throughout the game. The award winners will enjoy a game like a suite holder, surrounded by the team with one of the best seats in the house, including food and drinks at the game.
 
As part of the VIP experience, the 20 students will be given first right of refusal and encouraged to participate in Tarleton's planned in-game fun series called "So, You Think You Can Football?" The Texans will be hosting four on-field events during quarter breaks and halftime that will give students an opportunity to show everyone that they can hold their own on the gridiron.
 
From Thursday when Tarleton Football will make their post, through the night of Wednesday, April 10, students are encouraged to share posts to their Instagram Stories, tag friends on the Instagram post itself, and repost the messaging sent on X. There will be five winners chosen from Instagram and five winners chosen from X. Each winner can bring a friend of their choosing.
 
All winners must be Tarleton State students and will be required to show their Texan card on gameday. Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 11, and will be reached out to personally from there.
 
This year's Spring Game will be played on April 20 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville. This game will be free for all students and fans to attend.
 
Tarleton will treat the Saturday like a traditional gameday, with tailgating, concessions and entertainment. Texan Alley will open at 8 a.m. for arrivals, and tailgating will begin at 11 a.m. There are Texan Alley spots available. The Spring Game will also serve as a season ticket renewal period, giving all season ticket holders a seamless opportunity to renew their season tickets for 2024.
