SALEM, Ore. – Tarleton State Men's Golf returns to the Oregon State Invitational for the fourth-straight year Tuesday and Wednesday for their fourth tournament of the fall 2025 campaign.

The Texans have become a staple in the Oregon State Invitational since the program was reinstated in 2022, coming up with a third-place finish in their first year of competing in the event.

The field will consist of 15 schools, including the last two tournament winners (UC Irvine, Oregon State), with eight of those teams competing with the Texans already this season. One team, Arizona State, has won two team titles this season, including The Wohali. Tarleton State will also see host school Oregon State for the second time, who they edged by two strokes at The Wohali.

The Texans will get their first crack at conference opponents Utah Valley and California Baptist since last season's WAC Championship in April.

Tarleton State's five-man lineup for the Oregon State Invitational consists of three returning letterwinners (Juan Ballester, Kellen Young, Drew Ironside) and two newcomers (Luis Buech, Maximilian Bjornstrom). It is the third unique lineup the team has deployed in four tournaments.

Bjornstorm is coming off a career-best outing at the Mark Simpson Invitational. His 4-under-par 68 in the first round tied the lowest 18-hole score a Texan freshman has had in a round in the Division I era. He finished the tournament tied for 44th at 2-under-par.

Young returns to the team lineup after a strong outing in the Fowler Individual Tournament, where he tied for 4th place at 5-under-par. He also shot 4-under-par in the first round, matching his career-low 18-hole score.

Ironside will make his second start of the fall campaign after getting the nod in the Mark Simpson Invitational. One tournament prior to that, he became the first Texan freshman in the Division I era to place top 10 in the WAC Championship.

Ballester had a 54-hole score of 225 in Colorado. Buech tied for 52nd at 1-under-par after leading the Texans in the first two tournaments.

Live scoring will be provided by Scoreboard, powered by Clippd. Tee off begins at 10:30 a.m. CT.
