STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The United Athletic Conference All-Academic club is an exclusive one, and two Tarleton State Football players were honored with joining it, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Daniel Greek were among the 12 players across the entire conference named UAC All-Academic.
The UAC All-Academic team includes 12 student-athletes representing seven different programs. Student-athletes nominated for the UAC All-Academic team must have maintained a cumulative 3.5 GPA, have participated in 90 percent of contests during the season or be a starter in 66 percent of contests and must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically.
Hearne has the tied-second most receiving touchdowns on the team with six, adding 101 yards on 10 receptions. He has scored the most touchdowns by a Texan tight end over the past 24 years, helping the Texans rank No. 1 in scoring offense (44.1 points per game), No. 4 in total offense (472.3 yards per game), No. 12 in rushing offense (204.5 rush yards per game), and No. 12 in pass offense (267.8 pass yards per game). Serving as an elite blocker, as well, Hearne helped the Texans rank No. 2 in the conference in sacks allowed (1.83 allowed per game) in the regular season.
Greek has completed 49-of-71 (.690) for 791 yards, eight touchdowns and just one interception across 12 games played. He's also rushed for four touchdowns. Greek started two games at quarterback this season, taking the Texans to a 2-0 mark.
