FORT WORTH, Texas – The Texans (3-4) are set to take on their second consecutive Big 12 opponent when they travel to Lupton Stadium, home of the TCU Horned Frogs (5-2) for a Tuesday night clash at 6 p.m.
This will be the Texans' first road matchup of the year. Following their game against TCU, Tarleton State will have four Power Four opponents remaining on its 2025 schedule.

Slade McCloud was named WAC Player of the Week during opening week. McCloud is the first Texan since Feb. 2024 to win a conference weekly award. The senior tallied 11 hits, eight runs, six steals and three RBIs in four games against Butler.
TYSON DRAKE'S HOT START:
Junior infielder Tyson Drake led the team last season with nine home runs. In 2025, Drake already has five home runs through just seven games. The Keller, Texas, native has registered a hit in six straight games including two four-hit performances. Drake hit a home run on both Saturday and Sunday against Big 12 opponent Kansas. He currently ranks 2nd in total home runs and 13th across all NCAA Division I athletes with 14 RBIs in the 2025 season. Drake is also the fastest player to reach five home runs in a season during Tarleton State's Division I era.
OPPONENT SCOUTING REPORT:
The TCU Horned Frogs started their season 5-0 but are currently on a two-game losing streak following losses to Arkansas (1-2) and Kansas State (2-10). TCU holds a .243 batting average on the season and has totaled 47 runs in seven games. They rank seventh across the Big 12 with a 5-2 overall record.
