STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton State Baseball (15-19) will host conference foe UT Arlington (10-19) over a three-game series this weekend at the Tarleton Baseball Complex. This will be the third conference series for the Texans, who currently sit at 3-3 in WAC play.

SERIES HISTORY:

• The Mavericks lead the all-time series, 8-2.
• The Purple and White took the most recent game, winning 19-9. Trace Morrison led the Texans with three hits and three runs.
• UT Arlington is 3-1 in Stephenville since becoming a member of the WAC.
• Each team has scored less than 10 runs in four of the last five matchups between these two squads.

• The Mavericks are coming off a midweek game against the TCU Horned Frogs, where they won 6-4.

• Drake has two games this season with seven or more RBIs. He leads Tarleton State with 35 across the entire season.

OFFENSE STAYS HOT:

• Tarleton State has five batters with a .300 batting average or better.
• Slade McCloud tops the team leaderboard with a .364 average and 11 steals, both team highs.
• Rayner Heinrich posts a .307 batting average and leads the Purple and White in doubles (12).
• Jaime Perez has 33 hits on 110 at bats during his senior campaign.
• Ike Shirey is one of three Texans with a minimum .400 on-base percentage. He also ranks second on the team with 10 steals.
• Tyson Drake hasn't been caught stealing at all this season, going a perfect 10-10.

WEDNESDAY RECAP:

• The Purple and White completed their season sweep against UIW, winning 12-6 on Wednesday afternoon.
• This marked the Texans' 12th straight win against the Cardinals, dating back to 2013.
• Trace Morrison led the way with a season-high four hits. 
• Sergio Guerra and Hunter Smith both blasted home runs for the second consecutive game.
• Lane Brewster helped pile on the runs, tallying two hits and two RBIs.
• In just two games against UIW this year, Tarleton State has compiled 30 combined runs throughout the two contests.
